"One's destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things"

Most humans have a desire at some point in their lives to have a daring escapade. Some excursions into what's possible leave unforgettable memories. We look back on such moments with smiles and a sense of accomplishment having done this outrageous thing, whatever it was.

Some of these heart-pounding encounters have left indelible marks on our lives. I look back on such adventures with glee, disbelief, and great fondness that, at the time, I dared to follow my inclinations.

Today, as I watch incredible fetes on YouTube, I cringe at the life-threatening possibilities inherent in all of them. How would anyone consider doing some of this stuff? Then, I realized that many hours of hard work had gone into achieving the levels of competence and skill demonstrated. 

As for me, a desire was all that was necessary and a willingness to do whatever it was.
